Rest & Recovery πŸ’€πŸ’€

Arguably the most important part of your fitness journey.

Personally, there has been many instances where I have neglected the importance of resting and recovering whether it be a hard workout, a bad night of sleep, less than optimal nutrition that day, or simply just stress.

SLEEP

Quality sleep is essential! It is so important to get sleep so your body can repair itself and improve your mood, focus, digestion, and daily performance both in an active lifestyle and completing everyday tasks. It helps you rejuvenate and function the best the next day. I aim for 6-8 hours every night but sleep is something I am working on improving.

WALKING

Walking is super important for me and supports both physical and mental health. I try to go for a walk a day and it 100% allows for a boost in energy, improves digestion, and reduces stress. If my sleep is poor the night before, I will still go for a walk over training because I know my body will only benefit from low impact in the long run on a day like that.

STRETCHING

Regular stretching helps release tension, improve mobility, and support muscle recovery. Just a few minutes a day can reduce stiffness, improve posture, and help your body feel more balanced.

REST + RECOVERY = A BETTER YOU
